⚠️ IMPORTANT: Always identify the disease before administering medication. Many medications are incompatible, and some are toxic to shrimp, snails, and invertebrates. Always treat in a quarantine tank whenever possible.
GENERAL RULES FOR TREATMENT
- Diagnosis First: Symptoms → Identify the disease → Treat it properly
- Quarantine: Always move sick fish to a quarantine tank (40–80 L, without substrate)
- Never use preventive medication in the main aquarium (it damages the biological filter)
- Remove the activated carbon from the filter during treatment (it absorbs and inactivates it)
- Increase aeration during treatment
- Keep track of what you use and when so you don't use too much
- Gammarids and invertebrates: They are very sensitive. Most medications kill them.
