Notes: The easiest macroalgae to grow. An excellent nutrient exporter in the refugium. In the main aquarium, it can grow too quickly and overrun corals. If it starts to stolonize, it may “spore” (release all its cytoplasm at once), killing everything around it—this happens if it is over-pruned or the plant reaches the end of its life cycle. Harvest regularly instead of pruning. Invasive species: never dispose of it outdoors.
